Its starts out with a car ride over to the Edmond’s waterfront; and then we walk onto the Edmonds-Kingston Ferry, always trying to miss darned the Amtrak.
While riding we stand outside on the ferry deck, the smell of saltwater in the air rushing everywhere. Upon arrival in Kingston; the ferry docking bounces between the giant pillars, used to be fun back when I was young but now it just always make my stomach uneasy.
Once disembarking, we walk to the wonderful Luna Bella Ristorante just a block from the ferry terminal. Feasting on bolognaise and sipping wine, we chat it up about the old times. From there, if our bellies allow, we might grab a gelato for the Ferry ride home.
We continue our catty conversation back to Edmonds which concludes our date. We bid each other goodbye at the terminal and we do it again the following year.
Since there’s currently no man in my life, I’m blessed with great family that will take me out on this date almost every year. Thank you Aunt Lorene! And thanks to all the Wren’s; 2010 was fun having all of you.
